My Secret Art Supply List! Ssshhhh!

When I started out as an Artist, I used to think I need the most expensive Art supply I can afford to make good work, but good artists specially the smart ones, always make do with what they have.. master it.. and once its used to full potential, they upgrade and get the ones they now have a better understanding of.

I now know better and work with Art supply thats both high quality and doesnt necessarily break the bank!

I'm fortunate to meet so many people with different backgrounds through my Online and Offline Art Workshops in Dubai.

Its flattering to be asked about the products I use and even help some of the guests note them down somewhere. Art is meant to be shared and while I'm a minimalist as an Artist, I do understand the importance of having the right tool, even if that's the only one you have!

So here I am..about to spend probably two hours, listing the products down hoping it helps somebody get the results they've always longed for!

1. Metallic Watercolours

These are by far the most flowy, silky
and shiny metallic watercolours.
I have used them with 0000 brush size
and they have not failed me.

2. Acrylic Gold colour

For broad spectrum use, I have use this.
Works great for backgrounds and has a
comfortable drying time.
Can be built on with two coats for a perfect,
non-streaky opaque finish.

3. Favourite Watercolour paper I

This is my go-to choice for Watercolour paper.

It has great water holding capacity and is very easy to work with. No Bleeding at all.

Great for printing on as well.

Sometimes, its difficult to find locally.

4. Favourite Watercolour paper II

This is generally an easily available, reliable
    option for watercolour paper.

5. Compass (For High Precision work)

This is one of the best brands for compass,

although the newer versions have plastic parts in them.

6. Compass (Everyday Use)

The Cheap and Best option for an

aspiring artist.

7. Watercolour Set (Vibrant Palette)

Well, this is a must have for every artist!

The hues in eve a small range like this,

are amazing and unmatched.

Hues in this set are slightly on the

warmer side.

I use their entire range!

14. Watercolour paper (for larger Artworks)

I use these precut A2 sheets for all my bigger                       works. Great quality even at 240 GSM!

Its really one of the best options for varnish.
I have used them generously on canvas and        the gloss is unmatched. Dries beautifully!

Its an absolute treat to outline using
this ink. I usually dilute it with a drop or
two of water, for long stretches of work.

This is the best Ink used for drawing,
but the price point is quite high!

Write like an Artist and even draw
        like one.

        Fantastic performance on paper!
